System Requirements
Get the information on exactly what you are going to need, for a PC or a Macintosh, to run Diablo II properly. While the game has some high demands for the hardware you are going to have to have access to in order to play, you should, if you are at all up to speed with the technological age, have access to these forms of hardware. Besides, the game is more than worth the cost of admission!
Introduction
Welcome back to the realm of Sanctuary, and the home of the Three Prime Evils. Dive right into things, and get the bare bones of the story behind the game, and the vital information for getting started, alongside what the game features over it's predecessor, the original Diablo game.
Character Classes
Five character classes are available to the gamer in Diablo II, including the Amazon, Paladin, Sorceress, Barbarian, and Necromancer. Each with individual and completely unique and class-specific abilities and spells, expect your experience with each class to be much different than the last. While any class you play has it's strengths, you must also look at weaknesses, and apply them to the style of gaming you use when playing. Listed here are profiles for each class, including the most in-depth information you could possibly ask for.
Skill Trees *
Unique to each class is a detailed tree of skills and abilities meant to aid them in combat. While each skill has the potential to reach a level of twenty skill points in power, you must take care to balance your points, and distribute them evenly, both where needed for actual use, and where needed for pre-requisits of other skills you may want to use in the future. Study each tree as much as possible, especially those you will be dealing with most, in respect to the class you play, and know each skills' purposes for use, strengths and weaknesses. Find all the information you could possibly want, and a little bit more, in this area.
Act Overviews
Expanding over four unique locations, Diablo II offers very diverse experiences throughout the quad of acts you will undertake during your adventure. Each town has advantages over the others, while also having it's weaknesses. Experience each in full animation and sound, as each town has custom graphics, structures, non-player characters, and countless other doo-dads only adding to the look and feel of a real-time experience in role-playing. Within this section are unique and very detailed reports on the many aspects of each town.
Levels and Quests *
Each unique to the act you are currently in in respect to the environment and appearance of each level and quest, you will quickly find that Diablo II is much more elaborate than the first Diablo game. This is most evident in the depths involved with each individual level and quest. It seems that just when you get used to things, you have to leave the computer for some reason, and when you return, everything changes before your eyes. This is part of the Diablo II experience, and the true role-playing gamers out there will relish in the various levels and twenty-one quests the game has to offer, with three distinct levels of difficulty. Find the information you need to defeat and reap the benefits of each level and quest.
Non-Player Characters *
Unlike any other role-playing game, Diablo II boasts a cast of over three dozen individual non-player characters, each with a unique cast of speech, animation, and function when interacted with. True to the Diablo style and storyline, you will find yourself quickly adapting to the ways of the various people between towns, who offer everything from simple chit-chat to the nitty-gritty of your combat necessaties. Here, you will find profiles on their attitudes, functions, and individual stories.
Item Database *
More dynamic than anything else in the game is the system of item generation, trade of items, and the pre-existing Uniques, Rares, and Sets of items that Diablo II has to offer. Locate information on each item, and their individual specifications in this section of the website.
Beastiary *
With over three dozen individual monster types, each with several sub-species' to do battle with, you can expect that you will have a mess on your hands when entering combat in Diablo II. Gather all of the information you could ever need for defeating such creatures, including their strengths and weaknesses, in this area.
Battle.net
Find out all you could want to know about Realms, Open Battle.net, Scams, Operations, Channels, and everything else involved with Diablo II in this area of the website. Definately worth a look for you multi-player happy adventurers out there.
