Guild Halls in Diablo II (Analysis) Guild Halls - excellent idea by Blizzard, a good way to show clan support and the clans themselves like it a lot, especially the 'legit' ones. This will definately be a great addition to Diablo II, which one exception. Cheating. Yes blizzard says they'll stop cheating in some way or another, but I have learned through past experience that anything that is programmed can be reversed, and hacked into what you want. Encrypting something just takes it longer for the hacker to figure it out, but sooner or later if they are persistant, it will be gone through. If cheating exists in Diablo II, guild halls will have no meaning. Anyhow, moving on, I believe guild halls should be VERY expensive, showing that the entire guild helped out in collecting the money in order to create the guild hall. Guild halls will represent hours of hard work and gathering money, and the guild will have respect if they have a guild hall. But, this brings a few questions to mind. Will there be somehow a 'banner' in the guild hall? such as the leader or whoever he designates? I believe without one then guild wars would perhaps be harder... because if tey figure out your password, they get in, and then they stay in?! :) Well, what fun. Also, I believe the maximum capacity of a guild hall should be 16 total, but the guild master should also be able to decide if he wants to limit the total down to 8 for his specific guild hall, ensuring not so much lag. In Diablo II there will be -so- many guilds, one of which I will have myself. I was a guild master on the original Diablo, and Starcraft, for over a year, until i finally disbanded my guild and we will come back in Diablo 2. Some people of my guild are still around... working on various websites across the net. When Diablo II comes, we will be back.. so if you see a -]-[-DragonBane or something like it around say Hi :). My personal goal is... well.. secret, but rest assured i am not a pk. My job will most likely be to rid a lot of guilds off of bnet, just for the sake of having some space. But not the cool ones =).
